How To Upgrade Jeep Renegade Dash Speaker

The factory 3-and-a-half-inch tweeters in the dash are easily accessible and linked in parallel with the front speakers. You can take off the panel in the corner of the dashboard with a trim tool. You can pry the panel with the tool and remove the retainer clips.
You can remove the panel now. Once you do that, you will see the speaker. Unfasten the screws with a T25-sized screwdriver. Undo the harness and pull out the old speaker.
Put the new speaker in and fasten the mounting harness. Fasten the T-25 screws and then put back the panel. Lock it in place with the clips. You will hear a clicking sound as you push the panel back to its place. You have installed your dashboard speakers. Now, let’s focus on the remaining units.
How To Upgrade Jeep Renegade Front Door Speakers

Originally, you will get 6×9-inch front door speakers in your Jeep Renegade. You can opt for the same size or go for 5-1/4 inch or 6-1/2 inch offerings while upgrading the speakers. If you go for different sizes, you will get mounting brackets for them. So, don’t worry about fitting them into the speaker compartment.
To change these speakers, you’ll have to remove the door panels. First, pry off the cover of the screw behind the door release handle and remove the corresponding 3/16″ screw. You’ll need to lift the mat to get at the hex screw hiding underneath the door pull cup’s rubber lining.
Take out the Phillips screw at the door panel’s lower edge, then push out the two screw covers at the panel’s upper back edge and take out the Phillips screws there. As you move back up the door, pull out the power switch panel to release the clips holding it in place. Then, remove the hex screw that you can see.
Now, you will have to remove the panel that conceals the speaker. Each door panel is held in place by eight clips. Pry up the panels from place to place so that the clips get released. When they do, the panels will pop right out.
Unhook the mounting bracket and unscrew the screws to extract the speaker. The T-25 screwdriver will come in handy once again.
Put the new speaker into the panel, hook the mounting bracket back on and fasten the T25 screws. Restore the panels and push them down to ensure the clips secure them. Put the doors back and fasten the Phillips screws and hex screws to attach them to the mainframe of the car.
How To Upgrade Jeep Renegade Rear Door Speakers

This is the same as removing and installing the front door speakers. Remove the door, the speaker panels, and then the speakers. Replace them with new speakers, secure them with harnesses and screws, and put back the panels and then the door.
The tools are the same as well. You don’t need to use anything different for the rear door speaker replacement.
